999cameron
I have a 2003 (53 Plate) Ford Fusion 2. I want to remove my 4500 Radio/Entertainment System so that I can see what ports and cable attachments are at the rear - thus giving me the opportunity to use a radio to auxiliary converter. I've seen it done with cars older and of similar ages to mine, but I won't know what ports are accessible until I have a look at the back. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Cameron
Fusion_Driver72
Hi Cameron, I also have a Ford Fusion (2005, MK1) and have the same radio, type 4500. There are several kits for sale to add a Aux/USB/SD-card port, but it will all NOT work on the 4500 radio/CD :( The Aux/USB/SD-card device must be connected to the CD-changer-port and the 4500 does not have a CD-changerport. :( look at the photo's at this link http://m.kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/s-anzeige/autoradio-mit-cd-4500-rds-orig-ford/127152364 Sorry, but you're gonna have to buy another radio/CD for your car, if you want Aux-functionality. :( This is the one I want in my car; http://www.mediamarkt.nl/mcs/product/PHILIPS-CMD305,10259,486540,941473.html?langId=-11 look really cool, is controlled by your smartphone, has USB and AUX. You need a converter to 1 DIN (this will give you extra storage for small items) and an FORD-to-ISO Cableset Peter
