Fiesta St2 Cosworth Alloys

Featured Replies

So I've just gone a bought some cosworth style alloy wheels for my ST2 when it arrives next month! All be it they won't be to everyone's taste in colour, nor are they mine so they will be getting a re-spray considering they are going on a red car...

Anyway, these alloys below the centre cap say they are 6.5j x 16".. However when you measure the wheels they are 17" and 7.5j. Anybody have any ideas? I've threw a couple of photos on too so you can see what I mean..

Cheers! post-50303-140830523033_thumb.jpgpost-50303-140830524287_thumb.jpgpost-50303-140830525163_thumb.jpgpost-50303-140830527879_thumb.jpgpost-50303-140830532313_thumb.jpg

They are 6.5j X 16 which is the measured where the bead of the tyre sits, if you measure any wheel it will be bigger than the dimensions of the tyre.

Would they look alright on the new ST if they were a decent colour?

Cosworth wheels look ok, these being 6.5j may be too narrow and may need spacers.

Try them on the car before painting to see what you think.

Will do! What size spacers would I likely need?

Are those cosworths, or mondeo alloys? Look mondeo to me.

Think they're mondeo alloys to be honest! Just the same style as cosworth alloys!

Not sure if they will fit the ST either?

Thought so, mondeo have a bigger thickness on the spokes.

They'll fit the ST, seen or it two with mondeo alloys but as mentioned above they're quite narrow alloys in comparison to cosworths. Not sure about fitment/spacers needed.

No worries! How would I find out what spacers I would need?

I'm going to presume 10mm, maybe 15mm.

Will it not look like a car that you've taken the standard wheels out and robbed a set from your Grandads Mondeo for the time being? hate them personally. what profile tyre are you putting on them? if a low profile you'll have a smaller diameter and it might spin a lot more and wear them out quite quick.

Not going for low profiles, going to put 195/50s on I think use them as like a winter types maybe
