Focus Mk2 Fuel Flap Cover

Featured Replies

I've seen quite a few Focuses with missing fuel flaps (including mine when I bought it) so it looks like quite a common problem. I've just replaced mine for a working one following the Haynes manual and it was a pretty easy fix. If anyone's interested I can do a guide? I haven't got much to add to Haynes other than colour photos and that I didn't need to remove both bolts from the fuel pipe (the bottom one was corroded stuck).

Anyway, I've now got a working fuel flap instead of a black hole and it only cost £30.00 from ebay so feeling a bit chuffed right now :)

Good job! :)

I'd say do a guide if you have the time or desire, many people *ahem me* don't have Haynes manuals; yet anyway!

You never know, the guide could probably be very useful to someone along the line.

I'll get onto it and write up how I did it with some pics and arrows etc in that case :)
