wozzatdci
Hello, I've just bought a Mondeo with reversing camera and have noticed that the rear camera view displayed on the screen flickers and switches between a green screen, the radio display or map display. I've done some searching on the internet and the finger points towards water ingress. I'd like to have a go at accessing it and spraying WD-40 on the connections or replace the camera if necessary. Does anyone have any experience of this fault, please?
andyb07
I've got exactly the same problem, it's booked in to the local dealer on Friday so I'll let you know what they say.

The Admiral
Do you still have sensors as well as the camera? Surly still under warranty?
wozzatdci
Yes I have front and rear sensors. Warranty ran out six months ago I'm afraid. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

The Admiral
Phew! Result!, that would have been expensive!
wozzatdci
Anybody know how to access the camera. I can't see how to take the trim off without breaking the clips off. Particularly the ones on the outside edge next to the rear light lenses. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
jeebowhite
You have to pull the exterior trim off a and it's not a comfortable task.
wozzatdci
Looks a bit more involved than pulling. The tabs at the sides would shear off if it was pulled off. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
jeebowhite
You have to prise it off and its inevitable to break at least one clip. I did it whilst installing the camera but to be honest even after breaking a few clips it still went back in without an issue and is secure.
