Storage Pocket To Right Of Steering Wheel (Mk4)

Featured Replies

Just noticed in the manual that there is a small storage pocket located to the right of the steering wheel below the light switches etc.

Just wondered what use people had found for it?!

Hahaha, I've stored my passport in there once, also a number I didn't want my girlfriend to find, if you know what I mean. Great storage location, well done Ford.

I keep a CPR face shield and a pair of nitrile gloves in there in a pouch.

It's a great little pocket but feels too flimsy for anything with a bit of weight. (I had looked at mounting a switch box in there for some lights i'm having fitted but I wasn't confident it'd cope with the weight)

Glad its not just me who carries a Resusci-aid! Although mines more cool than IcePax, mine has its own little pouch and sits on my car key loop :p

In that pocket, I have my OBDII bluetooth adapter, a few fuses, and a few little tools, inclusive of all the screws that I have taken out.

Since I had to do this to my centre console:

My resusci-aid is in a pouch on my vest along with my ASP baton, Kwik-cuffs, X26, nitriles, Capror Pava spray, tracking harness, tracking line, Kong dog toy, radio , phone and umpteem million other items I have to carry.

The car has two full first-aid kits (one for human use and one for dog use) between the front seats and the dog crates in the back seat/boot area.

Hehe my car is a personal car though and my medical kit sits in the boot.

It wouldn't fit in that pocket hahah

Yeah my first aid kit isnt quite that big lol, although I did impress the medics and the police with my kit at an RTC I attended a few years ago :D

I wouldnt go anywhere without it in the car, between that and my first aid training and my free insurance provided by Saint Johns Ambulance, I feel I am ready for anything :D

Now, I just have to wait for the local SECAMB trust to get back to me on becoming a CFR :D

Where are you from ? I know a few SeCAmb CFRs

Live in the Medway towns, sadly they have nothing going for where I live or work at the moment, but I dropped an email to see if I can talk to someone about whether or not my health would stop me / allow me to become a CFR if I was to be lucky in the future!

I keep forgetting it's there and haven't used it yet. I was going to use it for my cellphone.

So do I normally LOL
