when trying to start my 18 mondeo all needles on dash flicker about and car wont start , is this starter prob or battery prob ??? it just happend no warning signs

    Happened to me, it was my battery. Just jump start it or change battery should do it. Has it been standing?

    So, what does happen? do the needles do a full sweep or just flicker a bit? does the engine turn over, and at what speed? if it doesn't, is there a distinct click noise? does the dash illumination or the lights go down in intensity massively, or does nothing much happen?

    thanks guys its the battery as put charger on and car started ,

    went for a drive , but not holding enough charge to start again ,,
