Love It

Just got myself an apr 2014 1.0 ecoboost 5dr titanium in deep impact blue 3500 miles. I came from zafira but wanted smaller car. Love it to bits though is opposite of what I expected. I feel it runs like a dream at higher speeds but quite hard work at lower speeds. I think I'm just used to getting up the gears as quick as possible. Seems this is happier coming down the grears more around town speeds.

Loving all the kit in car as have never had cruise control, bluetooth etc. before.

I quite like start stop if I can predict I'm going to be sitting a bit, though got fright of my life when it started once by itself.

Im busy searching compatible sync apps for android though not many.

First time I've joined a car forum too. Looking forward to browsing through folks thoughts, though not wanting to really read faults lol.

Oh..and need a set of mats too, didn't come with any. Guess the ford velour ones might be dear?

Welcome to the forum :)

The new ecoboost fiestas are a great car. The turbo doesn't kick in til around 1500rpm I believe so will feel slower at lower revs as then the car is essentially a 1.0L if you get me.

The genuine ford ones are around £30 so not to bad, the plus side is they fit spot on but you can find other mats that will fit on the internet :)

enjoy the car! And I've found the members on here are always happy to answer questions and give advice :)

Welcome to the forum, I've got a set of collins performance mats for sale if your interested :) there excellent quality and easy to clean and don't wear quickly like the fiesta ones.

Check my project for pictures of them....

Thanks folks.

One thing I wish they changed. I wish they swapped out the live mpg option for a trip mpg average. The live one surely is pretty meaningless and I like to keep the current average as it is, but would love to have one to see your average over your current journey.

I think my brothers merc had this.

What sort of mpg do you guys get anyway on average ?

I tend to reset the MPG reading whenever I reset the trip so that might half solve the problem, but then I always use the trip to check how far I go on each tank, to make it easier measuring the MPG (the MPG reading from the car isn't hugely accurate).

Edit: one thing I wish they would add to the trip computer is a digital speed display, I mean you can get it in the diagnostic thing so why they didn't add it to the trip computer I don't know.
