Yehh it'd be better im sure and I can't be bothered fabricating any and welding/bolting them in place. So probli end up leaving it. Would look good though, seen a black one (Luke's I think) with them and looks stealthy.

So today I ended up going to a Dyno Day in Stockport at Dr !Removed! with a friend and fellow member from here. Very happy with the results and now I can see what gains I get once I get it remapped etc.

Here's the graph (very happy with 211.7hp standard form)

Still think of the positive 137bhp output, hopefully Gary sorts it on Saturday and maybe even updates it to push it too that extra 145bhp Hahaa

That's pretty good Nathan for standard spec. How much does it cost for the dyno?.

  • Author

I know was quite pleased with the results, now I've got something to compare to once I choose my stage 1 map etc.

It cost £35 for a three run dyno and print out at Dr !Removed! in stockport. Was a dyno day though so guessing it was cheaper maybe ?

Thanks for that. Would be interesting to see a Mountune on their dyno see what that comes out at as they only claim 215

  • Author

Yeh would be interesting, I'm more than likely going mountune after Christmas so might get it back on once ive done It to compare :)

If it's that cheap normally I wouldn't mind taking mine down, see how much difference bluefin makes... not too far from me. Can you spell the [!removed] bit with a space or hyphen in there so we can see what comes after Dr....

  • Author

Yeh have a look at there facebook page and maybe ask how much it is normally :) Hahaa sorry didn't realise it blocked the word 🙈 it's "J-A-P-S"

is the filter anticipating 'eye' after that? let's see... japseye

  • Author

Obviously not Hahaa, just doesn't like the word Ja. Ps

What are you planning performance upgrades wise? Any plans to put it on coilovers or lowering springs? Wouldn't mind mine a bit lower but want to hear from someone who has done it first, don't want the ride even harder or handling compromised

If that was a bit closer I'd take mine to see if the MP215 is giving me the power it should. I didn't dyno it before the upgrade though.

Edit: the max torque is interesting at 248 lb/ft, that's 12 more than Mountune claim for the MP215.

  • Author

Possibly the mountune lowering springs at some point, but not anytime soon as got plenty of stuff I want first :p Hahaa

Yeh be interesting to see, it's almost as if mines mountuned already 🙈 wouldnt mind comparing a mountune one before I go spend the ££££

it's normally £45 for 3 runs at Dr j-a-p-s

So not really updated this in quite a while now, due to funds being low because it's christmas coming up and other things I needed money for :( so seen as its winter anyway I thought I'd treat the ST after Christmas.

But got myself a brodit phone holder seen as I've wanted one for a while....

Happy with the quality and way it fits, pricey but good. Also ran a cable from the usb upto it so I can charge it. Not 100% with the red (might swap to a black cable) and gonna tidy a little bit more, but it will do for now while it's dark until weekend :p

Also fitted 6000k xenons a while ago and never posted pictures, so heres a few. Not everyone's liking but I've never had problems with them so stick with them for now....

Looks good, and those HIDs really show how yellow the standard bulbs are, even the DRLs lol.

Bit the bullet in the end then? :p so glad I bought mine after the long drives to/from work ive had this week.

HIDs look good too :)

  • Author

Thanks Phil and I know, not as noticeable with the DRL when in the metal. Need to get the cree's in though 😛
