Good morning all, I recently discovered this compartment just below my lighting dial on my Ford Focus Edge 2011. Does anybody know what it is and if it has any specific use?

Please see photo beneath and apologies for it not being the correct way around, I wasn't sure how to 'rotate' photos.

    It is the flap for the OBD port that they made in to pull out storage at the same time.

    If you squeeze the back of it in, it will swing all the way down and reveal the port.

    It is what garages use to read fault codes and apply updates to the car.

    Some of the ICE/bluetooth updates can be done via USB but anything like the ECU, etc has to be done via OBD.
