Silicone Inlet Hose

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently bought a replacement inlet hose for my mondeo mk4 1.8tdci. After inspecting it I noticed the join between the breather hose and the main hose doesn't look very tidy. I have attached a couple of photos and was hoping someone would have a look at it and tell me if this could be a problem? Should I return it to the seller?

Many thanks for you help.

Looks like a bit of flash left over from the process that joins the 2 pipes together.

If it's quite thin I'd be tempted to just trim it flush with a stanley knife or give it a wizz with a dremel then just clean the pipe out.

Thanks Troy. The join feels secure so I guess it probably is just from the joining process. It is quite thin. I have a stanley and a dremel so I think I'll just give it a trim.

I'd say the Stanley knife will make a bit less mess so I'd try that first :)
