05 Focus Cd6000 Aux Question

Featured Replies

Well lads I just had a quick question.

I've a 2005 Focus with the CD6000 radio with CDDJ (No AUX port). I was just wondering would this part fit my car?

It seems like it would but I said I'd get a second opinion. Its a pain having to use cd's the whole time and it would be great if this worked as I could play music off my Galaxy s4.

Thanks in advance :)

Does your 6000CD stereo have an aux button on it?

No it doesn't. It has the CDDJ button instead.

Then you will need to buy a cd6000 that has the Aux button, off ebay or something

then all you will need is an aux cable such as this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ford-Plated-Input-Adapter-Radio/dp/B00I9BBU0Q/ref=pd_sim_ce_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1T7GBD5MGQJY8Y89AFSN

The connects2 interface from the weblink is only suitable for the older Ford radio's with a seperate CD changer connector. The newer Ford radio's (Focus MK2 onwards) do not have a seperate CD changer connector. These radio's are only capable to control the OEM CANbus CD changer. The wiring of this CANbus CD changer is (if equipped with the OEM CD changer) fully integrated into the interior wiring loom.

There are some aftermarket MP3 interfaces which promise to be compatible with the 6000CD with CDDJ button but my experience is many of them do not function correctly (or do not function at all).

In my opinion you should replace the 6000CD with CDDJ button for one with AUX button or even better an OEM Sony radio.

Yeah I was thinking of getting an aftermarket Sony one but my father also uses this car and he's pushing on a bit so he wouldn't know how to use it! How much would a cd6000 with an AUX go for? Thanks for the replies by the way guys.
