Powering A Screen Mounted Sat Nav

Hi all

Want to use a screen mounted sat nav in my 2.5 focus. Any ideas as to the best way to power this- don't want to run a lead from the center console.

    Run a cable under the dash to come out of the A pillar near where you want the nav to go.

    You could either use an extended power supply from the centre console (running the cable through the console not on top) or piggyback an ignition live fuse under the glovebox and wire in an auxiliary 12v socket where convenient.

    Would u know if there is much clearance behind the A pillar for a 12 volt or even a usb socket?

    There's not a lot of space for a 12v socket but an USB would fit easily.
