Air Con And Heated Windows

2 problems im havin

1, my heated rear window takes an age to clear. about 15 to 20 mins if im lucky

2, my air con comes on every time i adjust the heater controls, doesn't matter if it's changing the airflow direction or the power it comes on every time,

any ideas

If you do run the AC to demist it does help the back slightly as it dehumidifies as it runs. Granted, if you've a full load of soaking wet adults it makes naff all difference.

RainX anti-fog can help a little - but I wouldn't say it's fantastic

my last focus an 03 estate the rear windscreen cleared with in minutes

i still think there's a problem shouldnt take 20 mins to clear with just me in the car,

the heated front windscreen don't work either

ive noticed that it seems to take ages on ford cars, my focus and my partners festa both take an age to clear the rear compared to other makes ive driven, im guessing its a ford thing as the fronts, even without blowers on, demist really quick

May be worth checking the connections to the rear screen one of mine had came loose and melted then stopped working easy to check just need to undo the torx screws in the door handles in the boot and the rest pop off....could also check for voltage there too just incase its battery etc
