Mk3 St Real World Mpg?

Featured Replies

Now forgive me if this has already been asked somewhere (which I'm sure it probably has) but I have tried searching and hit a brick wall maybe it's a sore topic? :D

Anyway I would like to ask any MK3 Focus ST owners (or previous owners) what sort of MPG they get in the real world compared to Fords (usually unrealistic in the real world) figures. The reason I ask is I'm potentially looking at getting the facelift MK3.5 ST next year and trading in my 2013 1.0L (125) as although it's a fantastic little engine it's just not powerful enough but at the same time I need to be able to live with the drop in fuel economy (though it won't be a huge issue). My 1.6 fiesta Zetec S was quicker (obviously because of weight....the car not me) and I'm starting to notice.

I mainly use the car for town driving, driving for the sake of it and commuting to work. My commute varies depending on what base I have to work from but usually it's a minimum of a 18 mile round trip and max of a 40 mile round trip.

Thanks :)
