Horrible Feeling Regarding Dmf

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

A couple of times over the past week fews I've noticed when the engine is warm, out of gear and thr clutch is up, the car will vibrate fairly heavily from the engine bay and what I can only describe as a heavy noise.

Having looked online, it seems this might be a dreaded DMF issue, something i absolutely dreaded.

Car is a 1.8TDCI 2006 Focus, 106K on the clock.

I could just about afford it, but having only recently bought, it's now out of agreed warranty period and even so, it was classed as wear and tear.

Any ideas on this one please?

Cheers.

funny how these problems always seem to happen when car is just out of warranty hope you can get it fixed

How handy are you with a socket set?

Not cheap to replace I'm afraid.

I wouldn't be able to undertake the job myself unfortunately.

Decisions, decisions.
