Focus Tdci Juddering When Getting To 3000 Revs

1.8 tdci 09 place when I put my foot down and I get to just befor 3000 revs the car starts juddering . It's doing my head in I went to over take someone on the m1 and it started doing this I lost all power and couldn't do nothing . Any idears guys please
