Hi can any one help I have a 2007 1.8 tdci focus does anyone know if the 2008 face lift focus 1.8 tdci engine is a straight swap I have noticed that the engine top loom has a different part number but everything else looks the same even the injectors are siemens and the have same part numbers?

The loom wouldn't matter I would imagine as long as you swop the original sensors over seen this a lot on cars over the years can't see there being any difference in block and head go by the engine code not the loom

The engine code is kkda which is the same I have noticed that the oil return pipe from the turbo is different but can't see anything else

You should be able to swop that quit common to have swop bits and pieces around as that engine might of been say in a mondeo where pipes are routed differently and maybe hence different loom number

The engine come from a 2008 focus estate race lift mine is pre face lift

So long as the pipe can be changed over I wouldn't worry .i,ve just done a pugeout 206 engine change and the amount of stuff I had to swop was unbelievable but block and head exactly the same

Ok cheers I know the pump and injectors don't need recoding so hoping I can leave fuel pump on
