Focus 2006 1.8 Tdi All Dash Lights On Fault Code U0140 Not Starting

Featured Replies

Hi guys

So i was driving along yest all was well when suddenly all my dashboard lights lit up the mileage counter just had - - - - - on it but i didnt lose any power and lights then went off and i continued to drive for a few minutes before reaching my destination. Got back in the car few minutes later car started fine drove for a few minutes and then the same thing happened again. Only this time lost all power and steering went really heavy. Called out breakdown who ran a diagnostic check and came back with a U0140 code. The light by the petrol gauge continues to flash and also gives a code flash (according to the breakdown guy) 1 flash then 6 flashes (if that means anything).

He checkex all fuses in the bonnet and undr the glovebox and all seemed to be ok. Tried disconnecting the battery fora bit too but no luck so resulted in a tow back home :(

Anybody have any suggestions?? Many thanks in advance.
