Quick Number Plate Light Question

Quick question for mk4 mondeo owners

Could someone please let me know the shape of the number plate lights?

I'm looking to get a reversing camera/number plate light and just need to make sure I get the right shape

Thanks

Hi Matey, didnt realise you had the mondeo! mind you I have been away for a while!

Anyway, the bulbs are 501W, I replaced mine with LED ones, and the camera I got was from alibaba (if you want link to the particular I bought?)

no dude i dont have the mondeo yet. looking to get it between now n some time between end of december

trying to find the perfect car for the mondeo. got 7-8k to spend, maybe a little bit more and i'd rather like a titanium x sport

i'll be looking to start modding immediately, first port of call will be to transfer over my head unit. this will mean getting a new reversing camera so i wanna buy one ready for when i get the car

my question wasnt about what bulb it takes dude, it was about the actual shape of the number plate light unit itself as i will be replacing it like for like shapewise with a camera unit that has a built in led for the number plate bulb

on the same topic, can anyone tell me the connection the head unit takes? is it the same quadlock as on a focus? as i need to know whether i will require a new patch lead or not for my aftermarket head unit or whether my existing one for the focus will suffice

Couldn't help you with the lock first hand but I believe it's still quad lock as per the focus, but I will try take some snaps of the number plate assembly for you later matey

:-)

Charlie, here's the pics from my car I hit this camera from alibaba for about 15 quid

Pictured this time...

your camera looks like its taped on dude

thanks for the photos but what i was asking was to see a stock none camera number plate light unit, so if you could take a photo of the other one without the camera that would be great

Will do matey and the camera is missing a screw on the back so I put amalgamating tape across the top and back to secure it. The screw was tiny and I lost it very quickly lol...
