Starting Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has ever came across this problem before, in the last week I have had trouble starting me car. Sometimes it's starts without a problem then other times it doesn't. I took it to my local QuickFit and had battery test and starting motor checked and they was all fine. When the car doesn't start its like a clicking sound and takes a few attempts to start the engine. My mate said it could be something to do with the keys, could that be right? Or anyone else point me in the right direction so i can get this solved?

Cheers,.

What engine you got?

What year is the car? Has it got any aftermarket accessories fitted?

Reason I ask is way way back when I had my 1994 mk3 fiesta it had an aftermarket immobiliser fitted and this would cause problems exactly as you've suggested yours does - we had to disconnect it in the end

It also could be the key if it hasn't been chipped correctly, same again the immobiliser
