Hi All - And Engine Swapability?

Featured Replies

Hello all, newbie here - my name is Nick Blair and I'm based in the midlands, I currently run my own motorcycle repair business, and my car is a 2006 mk4 mondeo estate 2.0 tdci.

I have a question which I'm hoping someone can help with - basically my car is a 115ps engine model and I have just acquired a 2002 saloon with the 130ps engine fitted and I wanted to know if anyone has swapped these engines over before, and if so what modifications are necessary and what issues did you encounter? - I'm not planning this lightly by the way - just for a few extra hp :) - my current engine has the all too familiar injector leak-off problem and also the dual mass flywheel is separating which makes it sound like a bag of spanners being shaken when idling so the plan is (if practical/possible) to swap the complete engine/gearbox units over as the 130ps engine is in good working condition - and happens to have about 50000 less miles on it too!!

Many thanks in advance for all advice you can give :D
