tanyamg71
We gave a 59 plate mondeo estate and the other day the pump stopped working but the wipers were my husband checked the usual things but as he couldn't hear the pump working he asked them to look at it in our local garage. Got the car back that evening but didn't check until the morning and found it yet again wasn't working but now when you pull stick to get front wipers and water the wipers were working but so were the rear as well as water coming out the rear. And if you try the rear wipers they still work with water but so do the front without water. The garage said that when they fitted a new pump they had to remove the front bumper (is this correct) also they said that the pump burnt out and had to be rewired. we are now waiting for the car to go back to the garage to be looked at by an electrics guy. jeebowhite
Sounds about right ont he bumper removal (makes the job easier) but if your pulling the stalk back and it affects front and rear, then its possible the issue relates to a faulty stalk with its switches.
