Car Security

Featured Replies

With the recent spate of Focus RS, Focus ST and other Fords with keyless entry and push button start being stolen, i am getting increasingly concerned at the safety of the BeaST.

Although i am doing my bit to try and put the thieves off with the Disclock, I'm not too sure that will stop them if they want it.

Anyway, after doing a bit of research i came across a rather interesting video from a company called Secure My Car who install a Viper alarm system and it seems to be very popular with the RS'.

i know its a touch on the expensive side, but can you put a price on your pride and joy going missing? Im seriously contemplating having this installed.

Has anybody already got one or know of anyone who has, if so what are they like and are they worth it?

Tbh it's not as expensive as some of the trackers I've been looking at, defo makes sense.

Many many thanks for the link :)

Good stuff

Or move and lock the OBD port, if they can't reach it the alarm will go off, if they can't find or plug into it they can't start the car.

If you look on their website, there are a few focus RS' that have tried to do that but if they want the car they will take it. Just that the Viper alarm completely disables the engine..
