Reverse Lights

Featured Replies

Hi

All of a sudden both my reverse lights has stopped working and am seeking advise. Would this be a fuse? Or something else. I refuse to believe both bulbs have blown.

It's a Ford Mondeo Titanium X 08 plate.

First thing to check would be that the bulbs are ok - stranger things have happened. Then next stop will be the fuse, if that's ok then I would suspect the reverse switch on the gearbox may have failed.

Mine failed, checked fuses wasn't them so checked the switch on the g/box, gave it a clean with electrical cleaner hey presto.

The reversing switch failing was a common fault on the MK3 Mondeo too.

Its a common issue on most Fords sadly.... but as Stef said, check the bulbs first.... Depending on the quality of the bulb one may blow, and the extra flow directed to the other bulb may blow that quickly too!
