Hi guys

Are the rear and front speakers the same size and specs ?

Currently I don't have rear speakers (only front) and I would like to install the rear ones. But since I will be buying new I want the original thing, so i thought of putting my existing speakers in the rear and placing the new ones on the front.

Is this possible?

They are a different part number.

They have extra cones or tweeters depending on the trim level in the back.

And how do I get to know these part numbers?

Any Ford dealer should be able to work it out.

Or if you find another car with the same number of doors, year and stereo system (Sony or Ford), but has 6 speakers, then you should be able to give that reg to a Ford dealer or parts site and they can give you the part numbers for the rear speakers.

There are standard Ford speakers and Premium Sony ones, so you'll want to get the ones to match your head unit.

I think there may be a difference between the 5 door and 3 door part number but am not 100%.

Ye the only problem is that it's too expensive to buy parts from the dealer here.

I paid about £80 for all 6/8 premium sony speakers from fordpartsuk for my old Fiesta.

Thought that was pretty reasonable.

They offer good discounts on Ford RRP, but not a great deal they can do if the stuff is expensive in the first place.

True I'll see about shopping though cause that's £50 on its own. It would still be worth it though.
