How Do U Add Yours ? Diesel Additives ---

Featured Replies

i bought a bottle of diesel additives, but when i went to put it into the fuel tank i could not get the neck of the bottle into the filler of the tank,

mine has one of those valves that stops you putting petrol onto the tank by accident,

i lost more than half of the bottle of additives before i gave up trying to work out how to get it into the tank,

all i can think of is making a sleeve in the lathe but the trouble is where to keep it in the car after each use, as it will be covered in diesel additives.

You should have an emergency filler neck in the car, normaly kept in glove box or in spare wheel well,

had a look in the car but can not find anything that will do the job ,,

any one know the outside diamater of a "emergency filler neck" ????

25mm,outside diameter, length wants to be 78mm

...alternatively, I have a RedEx bottle with a small tapering exit hole (I'm trying to avoid saying anything rude, but it still sounds daft) and that is usable, provided that you dribble the stuff in. This isn't the standard for a RedEx bottle these days, but it is an old bottle which I refill as necessary.

The correct easyfuel funnels for putting in additives or for filling from fuel cans are readily available from Ford dealers for about a fiver.

They are designed to fit properly and save wasting additives down the side of your car or on your feet.

I bought one off ebay for about 3 quid recently.
