Engine Managment Light

Featured Replies

Hi all, i am new to this site, didnt even know there was an owners club. Any way i have a problem
the engine managment light on my dash wont go out. i have had it checked and it came up with Lambda sensor.
i replaced them both along with the flexi pipe on the exhaust then reset the light.
Howeverhen after two days it came on again, reset again and then it came back on again after a few hours.
The car drives fine but only returns 31 mpg any idea what is happening ?
she is a mk3 2l ghia

Were the replacements OEM or a pattern part? Some cars hate pattern sensors as they do not operate within the same tolerances. Otherwise, there is a fault in the sensors still if it is the same code in my opinion

What codes you getting? Could be your catalyst efficiency low, or air leak , missfire.
