Tdci Heavy Clutch

Featured Replies

I've just picked up a 54 reg Mondeo 2.0 TDCI (130) and not sure whether somethings wrong with the clutch? It's got mountains of paperwork with it and it's had a new clutch and DMF fitted a few thousand miles ago. The only thing is, the clutch is VERY heavy and the biting point is practically on the floor! I thought it was a case of just getting used to it, but i've been driving it all day and something doesn't seen right (unless i'm just wrong). Any ideas whats going on? Cheers.

It's probably the fact that the pedal is very low that makes it feel heavy. Does your paperwork say what make of clutch is used? LUK or Sachs are fitted from new or occasionally Valeo. The more you use it the clutch pedal should come up a bit and it will feel lighter then.(hopefully!)
