For Scan, Which Lead?

Featured Replies

What recommendations do we have for a Forscan lead to use with an IPad? just had a look about and now totally confused, would prefer to use the IPad as my laptop is a bit on the slow side, but could use that if it may be better again not sure of which lead to use for that.

Seems to be a lot of cheap clones about, are they ok?

I think I have answered the Ipad question as it only supports the lite version, I've ruled that option out so its just which lead is recommended for a laptop, I know it has to be a modified one but that's it

Ta, funny I stuck that one on my watch already

so have i

aye, tis a good cable by the face of it, seems to have all the qualities needed.

Why not go for a bluetooth dongle?

bluetooth dongles are only a fixed speed (High I think) and cant offer the full diagnostic benefits of including the medium speed.

Also there seems to be connection issues with both the Bluetooth and wireless options, the lead seems to be a lot less bother

Well I didn't know that!

Do you know what diagnostic info am I missing out on with ForScan and the BT dongle?

Cheers

Have a look on the Forscan site lots of info on there also a forum, I've found it very useful

Thanks, I have spent quite some time on there reading the forum. I didn't find information about what diagnostic information I miss by using a BT dongle rather than a cable though.
