My engine light has been on a while, and the diagnostics have said its a faulty egr valve. I have replaced the egr valve on my 53 plate petrol Mondeo, but the light is stil on. Should it go off automatically or does it need turning off?

    You will need to clear the fault on your fault finder, there is a button that you can press.

    If you are using forscan it's at the bottom left next to the disconnect button.

    You want to buy one with a switch on as then you can switch between mid-canbus and high-canbus always helpfully later if needed.

    I bought my for £14 posted on eBay ive had a look though and cant see any on there at the moment. Have a look yourself as this Amazon one is deer.

    There is plenty on eBay. Just search the words modified elm 327 500 and then there should be some for about 15 quid
