Fiesta mk7 short throw shifter

Featured Replies

By the looks of it it probably replaces the nuckle on the bottom of the gear stick or on the linkage.

I did this for my Rover 216 a few years back and it was a complete piece of !Removed! to do... Undo two bolts and replace a part which almost looks like a caravan hook up. Should be easier on the Fiesta as I had to contend with rust seized bolts.

The gear change afterwards was vastly improved!

Chris...

If it's the same as the MK1 focus (IB5) then there will be 3 screws, swap over of the ball sleeve, swap the stick over and then tighten back up.

I did this on my old MK1 Focus, really easy, but watch out for flying springs.. didn't take 20mins.. more like 30-40min and lots of swearing.

If anyone knows what gearbox is in the new fiesta, then that will help.

Rather have the illuminated standard one I think
