mintalkin
i presume this is for the height adjustment, can you hear the motor running as a common fault is that the plastic drive gear wears, you can now get metal replacements, if not it might be the motor itself, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-MK2-MK3-Jaguar-X-type-ELECTRIC-SEAT-MOTOR-kit-brass-gear-/261815420347?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf56a45bb the seat will have to be unbolted from the car to gain access to the motor and gears and there are lots of 'how to' guide on the web, it all depends how handy you are with the spanners. ralph
On the mk3 these are known to go as the teeth in the gearing are plastic. Happened to my mk3 estate a few years back.... Luckily it failed in a drive able position. I bought a 2nd hand one off eBay from a breakers and got my mechanic to fit it when it next went in for w service.... Very common problem I'm afraid.
