MK7 3 Door Rear Seat Noise

Featured Replies

I have had my car for just over a month now and it has got a really annoying creaking noise coming from the back seat at random times is this a common fault? and is it worth taking it to the dealership or just wd40 it?

I collapsed the seat and then slammed it back which fixed it 4 a while but now its back again but its seems a bit of a waste taking it back just 4 that

I'd take it back and then take someone out to let them hear it - you never know it might be something very simple like a missing rubber pad

thanks il try both then i cant go wrong :)

The mk6 was well known for this problem. A bit of white grease on the catches sorted it, wd40 would sort it but would just attract dust and dirt over time.

So will grease

Sorry ment to say white grease or service grease. It's what the dealers use to spray on your door locks and hinges.

got this problem as well , its like a creaking buzz sound ?

Sorry about the double post above

It's usually a sort of squeaky or clicking sort of sound. On the mk6 that is. I'm assuming it's the same problem the mk7s are having
