Can anyone help, I had a sony cd unit in my 07 mondeo mk3 it was a single cd/mp3 unit which packed up. Have bought a sony 6cd player unit from a 05 mk3 but unit will not fit, was assured that it would fit 03 - 07 models am I doing something wrong.

Is it that the radio won't physically fit into the dash?

If so you have been misinformed, send it back as it will be one designed for a Focus/Fiesta/Fusion.

The Mondeo radio must have an angled faceplate and also the faceplate is wider at the top than the bottom.

Basically you want to be looking for a CD132-CD6 model.

Hi, the unit I have is model cd132-cd6 it has angled face plate and is wider at the top, I can get the unit in up to the face plate but it will not go in any further, dont want to force anything.

First you need to ensure that the cables behind are not snagged.

Secondly, it is normal to feel a bit of resistance as the clips engage into the fascia.

Just check the clips aren't bent first and push firmly into place.
