Dan62
It might sound a bit obvious but does the temperature gauge on the instrument cluster work ? If the gauge is working, the sensor is ok, the system has a fail safe so should the sensor fail (or you disconnect the sensor) the fan will run continuously. If the gauge works but the fan fails to run possible reasons are; The cooling fan relay in the central fusebox. The fuse in the battery junction box The fan itself. Abbie1994
The gauge works , I have checked the fuses behind the glove box there ok , have wired the fan to the battery and it runs , haven't checked the fuse in the battery junction box were is this located
Dan62
The battery fuses are attached to the the positive battery terminal connector. Its fuse FD 40A. More likely to be the relay K45 if the fan works.

Dan62
It makes no difference for you, if you had an early mk6 with Ac there would be an extra relay and resistor in the circuit.

Abbie1994
How can I check if the fuse is ok or do I need to get a new one
Dan62
The fuse is probably good, more likely to be the relay. Check fuses with a multimeter.
