Over the last few weeks, my 2nd gear has been disengaging into neutral whilst engine braking.

It is very unpredictable and very unnerving when braking at a roundabout or bend as the car jolts forwards and the brakes have to be applied more as the gearbox is now in neutral, so there is no engine braking.

The car is going into Ford in 3 weeks as they still havent fixed the leak in my boot. I am going to ask them to have a look at the gearbox as well. I hope it is not a big problem. Any ideas on what is wrong would be appreciated.

    Ford and fixing gearboxes/clutches just dont go in my expierence :(
