  • I would try using http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ Then you can create an image of the SD card and copy it to another.

  • Sure Menu > Navigation Settings > Assistance Options > There are tick boxes for Signs/Lane and Speed Limits Speed limits will show bottom left of the display when navigation is active - ho

This link says it is for the MFD system and they are TomTom updates. I have checked the Sony unit in the car and it says it is sd2_Ford_MFD_E so this should be the one: http://www.ford-accessories.co.uk/fiesta/2008/infotainment/navigation

There is so much conflicting information out there, one forum the guy rang Ford and they told him it wasn't TomTom it was their own system!

Anyway this is direct from their website and says MFD and TomTom. Unfortunately, the most useful information is missing (what the current update version is) which would save having to contact the dealer at all if we already have the latest version.

I don't mind that price every few years, although with the current trend towards 20mph limits and hidden speed cameras it may need updating more often than I am used to.

For anyone who is not aware, hidden in the setup menus are the options to turn on speed camera alerts (both visual and audio ding) and speed limit signs. Off by default when you get the car.

Can you tell us how to find the speed camera alerts

Sure

Menu > Navigation Settings > Assistance Options >

There are tick boxes for Signs/Lane and Speed Limits

Speed limits will show bottom left of the display when navigation is active - however I have found that it doesn't always display so map database dependent.

For an audio "ding" when approaching a speed camera, select Hazard Spot Warning >

Then tick Warning and Audible Warning.

Warning shows an exclamation triangle on the Nav display at the approximate location of the camera and audible warning makes the "ding".

Clearly this is only going to be as good as the map database so I am not responsible for any points accrued!!
