I have never had an MOT certificate for my car as it was misplaced by the previous owner

I went to kwik fit this afternoon and the nice bloke ran me off another certificate without seeing the car, just the log book which was good of him.

I knew it has a bit to go before it's due again but i didn't realise it was as late as 9th December which is a bonus!

What i also found out was that it passed last year without any advisories which for a 12 year old car i think is pretty impressive

Now i can get the private plate!!

I did shock a family friend at a meal tonight by informing her that her private number plate was worth about £12,000

she paid £800 for it 15 years ago!

    Well done on getting the MOT - thats very good for a 12 year old car, it was obviously looked after before you had it.

    Well I guess £800 15 years ago was a lot more than it is worth today and as for tha value of the plate - thats down to whatever anyone will pay for it I guess . .

    well the plate starts with LYN so it should be worth about that

    and the mot is lovely :) hopefully it will do the same when i have to mot it!!
