HELLLPP my Ford Fiesta Loosint coolant

Featured Replies

im in major need of some advice.

ive got a 53 ford fiesta and the coolant level seems to be dropping dramatically.

i filled it up and then in a week its when down to minimum. there is no leak as such

that i can see but i have no idea how levels could fall so quickly.

also after journeys the fan seems to keep going as trying to cool down the engine.

any advice on either matters would be greatly appreciated or if this is a common fault.

or if any more information is needed please ask.

many thanks

i would start with a very good look at all the hoses and also the water pump etc for signs of leakage. may also be a good idea to have a look underneath the engine to see if there are any wet areas.

Take the oil filler cap off, turn it over and have a look. if it is creamy white and gungy you could have a headgasket problem. What does the temperture gauge say ?
