I've been planning on replacing my tyre center cap covers as they've become worn (previous owners haven't replaced them).

I've ordered replacements ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BFDEKUM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 ) - but I'm not entirely sure on how to pull out the old ones without damaging things.

I've read some places that duct tape / similar stuck to the old cap and a pull should do the trick -- but is there a better method?

    on mine there a small gap to get a knife or small screw driver down it
