Starting From Cold

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 1.4 2002 focus 1 .I have problems starting when cold, it starts straight away but then cuts out I then restart again and again till the car is warm. When warm the car drives great and starts with no problem. I have put tester on it no error codes found. I wold appreciate any help with this problem. Cheers Dave

This is a well known software problem, the symptoms are always the same only happens usually when extremely cold. I sought the same advice from this Forum and was guided to take it back to Ford for an update. It provides a 100% solution that has lasted more than 2 years now. It costs but it works.

Thanks for that Edward but I have since found that if I do not touch the throttle and just turn key starts straight away.
