I Really Do Not Understand How They Work It Out???

Featured Replies

I just changed my car I previously had a 2011 Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 Diesel and I just paid in March £172 to insure it.

I changed it for a brand new 2015 Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost, so I phoned my insurance (Saga) to change my details. After telling them all my details the nice lady said THEY owed me £4

How does that work can someone please explain?

DON'T QUESTION IT!!!

They'll realise the error and charge you for your refund :P

Seriously though...

I think they look at your details, put it all in a big hat and pull a number out of their bottoms.

Then usually multiply that by your age cubed, add 47 and triple it.

Hi,

What you may find is that the newer the vehicle gets the lower the insurance group is compared to a previous comparable model. This is due to factors including advances in car technology and safety features.

Regards,

Dan.
