Change The Lighting Colour On Radio Screen

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So I am just new to this club and I don't actually have my Fiesta as of yet - picking up a 62 plate white, three door, 1.25 Fiesta Zetec on Friday - however I do have a query about something I would really like to change on it.

That is the colour of the text on the small radio screen (that is the really annoying orange/ red), I was wondering if there was a way I could change the colour of this screen?

There probably won't be but I was just wondering because it is really annoying. I would like to change it to the blue text colour that is the text colour of the newer Fiesta models.

If there are any alternatives I would also like to be made aware of them, I was looking online at actually replacing my centre console to the black centre console that is in the newer models and also changing the screen but not sure if this is possible?

Thanks guys!

it's not possible to change it, unfortunately. that said, if the physical display is the same as the newer model (newer one has blue LED lights), and has the same connectors, there's no reason why it wouldn't fit.

it's getting hold of one and fitting it, though

The red matches all thee other colours, the buttons at night have red, the ambient light is red ect. Changing it would probably looks worse. If you want blue then buy the facelift fiesta, other than that I don't think you can change it.

You can change it, they are just SMD's behind it, it is a one way trip though as they solder on to the board, but you'd be better of changing all of them on the car and there is quite a lot of them, you'd need to do the dials and stereo keys and centre console, good full days work.

You can replace your radio/screen for the Sony model. The centre console will be black and the screen color blue/black.

The facelift radio will not work in the pre-facelift Fiesta.

Where would I get that Sony model radio/ screen?

You can order one at your dealership, but they cost a fortune.

Best chance is Ebay or scrapyard.
