Misfire?

Featured Replies

My fiesta 1.6 econetic has an annoying problem that defied resolution.

When driving On lifting off the accelator the engine appears to miss twice in quick succession. It does this whatever the speed. it does it all the time, always twice, but it is worst when The weather is colder. Seems much less of an issue on warmer days.

The car has done 35k miles, full service history etc., good mpg etc.

One other symptom is when the engine has started from cold and running for a minute or two the revs sometimes dip to say 650 but immediately recover. This isn't present when warmed it. (Is this an anti stall feature?)

There are no error codes, garage say they can't anything, it starts first time, idles ok, runs ok except for the miss,.

Any guidance would be great.

Thanks
