Fiesta Zetec Tdci Bunny Hoppy & Cutting Out

Featured Replies

Hiya,

I have a Fiesta Zetec TDCI 57 plate.

Having issues with it "bunny hopping" and it got so bad the

Other day I actually cut out on a round about.

I have had the fuel filter and air filter changed and this has made no difference.

It doesn't make a difference if the tank is full or near empty,

The only trend I can notice is that it's terrible when I first start the car

Then intermittent through the journey, some days worse than others.

I've been directed to a diesel specialist, but before I spend the money on that

I wanted to see if anyone had similar issues and how easily resolved it was,

Thank you

E.G.R.V. stuck / clogged / faulty ?

I have no readable codes though :-(

How many miles has the car done, 1.4 or 1.6?

  • Author

It's a 1.4 and approx 85k

1.4 Tdci.. turbo oil feed blocked? Failing turbo?

Could be a knackered injector, take it to a diesel specialist and get a leak off test done.

Update - completly conked out this morning - "engine fault - check manual"

Hopefully I have a readable code!
