Brake And Clutch Fluid

Featured Replies

Put my spider tuning box on today and did the 30 mile learning process the box needs to sync to your engine and learn the engine, you can feel the car loosening up and getting faster with less and less effort as the miles went on. I'll take it out for a blast tomorrow to see the improvements but at the setting I have it its up to about 150-152bhp with much more torque.

Anyway while I was under the hood I noticed two things.

1. one of the fluids in the top left of the engine bay was close to the min marker, looking in the manual this is fig b which it says is the brake and clutch fluid. Then looking at the page where it tells you what fluids to use it just says brake fluid. Am I right in thinking then that the brake and clutch fluid use the exact same fluid and I should just buy what it says to use to top up your brake fluid?

2. Should the engine not have an engine cover on the 1l ecoboost engine? Mine doesn't have one and I can just see the engine itself.

Clutch and brake fluid use the same fluid. Not all the ecoboost engines came with engine covers. Can be bought to fit yourself for about 30 pounds
