First I would like to say hi to everyone  Im new here...

I have a problem with my Fiesta Mk5 1.25. I think i've narrowed it down but I need a second opinion.

Basically I have a squeeling noise that comes from the nearside front wheel area. It doesn't make the noise when I turn left, it's mainly when i'm turning right, and occasionally when driving in a straight line. It also doesn't dissappear when I brake. Am I right in thinking it's the CV joint on the drive shaft closest to the wheel?

Also! I'm planning on fitting a 1.6 Zetec S throttle body to increase airflow, therefore speed the car up... I hope. Has anyone done this and does it work? o_O

Thanks xD

Pete

Is it squeeling when you are near full lock Pete?

Nope it squeeks all the way from no lock TOO full right lock when your moving. It's fine when your stationary.

Sounds like power steering issue with the new fandangled EPS, but I'm only a casual mechanic at home. Best pop in to the dealer regardless to have it looked at in my view.

I was thinking that too until I realised it was squeeling once every turn of the wheel (Not the steering wheel).. gets progressively faster, and louder, as the speed increases =P
