Tyres

Featured Replies

Hi, I got my new car last week, and apart from it being fantastic.....I notice the tyres are made by Hankook !?!?

I am quite surprised that Ford use a Korean make.

My question is are they any good, as I have never heard of them ?

It really depends on series of your car, you can get Hankook EVO S1, Pirelli Zero Nero or Continental SportContac2. I have 16" Hankook tyres and they`re pretty good, after 7300 km there is fast no noticeable wear, very good on wet road (130 km/h in storm without problems), little bit noisy on rough asphalt...

I think mine has contis

Mine came with 17" bridgestone tyres fitted ^_^

i have bridgestones too

i have conti's on mine

Mine came with Hankook,

They do seem to get good reviews on the web.

my mum has hankooks on her kia, the back ones are still the originals i think and they have been on for 5 years, good tyres in my opinion! they'll need replacing soon but they have had a good life span

ashman nic wheel u got ne pics of the car up newher??

I got my mk5 from a ford dealer and they MOT'd it before i got it. It needed 2 front tyres and they put on hankook's, they seem a bit poor to be honest. They seem to always squeal when you pull away, like a proper tyre screech, and im not even pulling away fast! Any thoughts?

Hankooks are good though, had them on my last car. I think they used to be a budget brand but are now more well known

a lot of that is due to incorrect tyre pressure in tyres

I'll have to check, thanks

Mine came with Hancook too, they were ok for the time I had them on there until I had mountune wheels fitted, now have Dunlop TT Max Sport tyres which will cost a small fortune to replace!
