BavarianCare
NGK plugs work perfectly in this engine. However, NGK & Bosch (the FoMoCo plug) are standard plugs. Personally I'd use Denso Nickel TwinTip - TV16TT Ford OE Number: 1787829 Bosch: 0 242 236 633 (HR7 MEV) NGK: 4559 (TR5B-13) Denso: T16VR-U10 Above are all STANDARD plugs. Below are uprated plugs: Denso: TV16TT -Nickel TwinTip Denso: ITV16TT - iridium TwinTip The Ford service interval of 37,500miles/3yrs is daft for standard plugs. If using standard then renew every 20,000miles at least. iridium is fine for 30,000miles
BavarianCare
A final thing. The reason NGK may cause issues is that they have a 1.3mm gap - if the engine/ignition system is not running 100% you may have slight misfires. But, if not, the engine will be slightly more economical (teeny tiny amount) OE Ford/Bosch have 1.2mm gap Denso run 1.0mm gap and will last longer and be more reliable.
