ford fiesta 1996 mk3/4

ok...hi guys n gals, new person to here since buying my new fiesta..

ok, its a N plate 1996 mk3 ( late mk3 ) and i brought it for £450 with mot with only 64k on the clock..

the previous owner who was an old bloke had it 10 years and only used it around town and looked after it very well, needless to say for its age its all in pretty good condition.

one thing ive noticed is that the revs seem to stick alittle on start up, a slight tap of rev peddle and it drops down to idle..

also, the revs stay a little higher when changing gear, ie, 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd..

ive had a scout about and ive come across several things that it could be, but what better place to ask than here, where there are plenty of fiesta owners..

any help or pointers on what this could be would be good, cos my fuel gage drops abit everytime i turn the engine off then back on, im sure somethings not right..

p.s clutch whines abit when pulling away in first....what could that be?
